Another movie shoot at the Queen/Saulter Library

It appears that the Q/S library is a perennial spot for movie locales, whether it is a local or Hollywood production.

Many would recall that CINDERELLA MAN a movie about a Depression era boxer ( played by Russel Crowe ) was  made in the vicinity of this Library branch. The time frame in the movie  was then winter but the actual production day was a hot day in August. It was Renee Zwelwegger who braved the hot August sun under a thick winter coat. The whole area was covered with something like snow.

Yesterday asome scenes of a T.V. Series entitled "FLASHPOINT"  were shot near the front door of the Queen/Saulter library.

"FLASHPOINT" follows the lives of the men and women of a special police unit, the Strategic Response Unit. The SRU, inspired by Toronto's Emergency Task Force, is a handpicked team of elite cops who are called upon to overcome the most dangerous situations, rescue the innocent and save lives.

"FLASHPOINT" is in its first season and will be airing in July on CTVin Canada and on CBS in the United States.

The project's director is Clark Johnson.

Some of the  cast paid the Q/S Library a visit after they have wrapped up their work. One of them ( all of the actors are Canadian ) even applied for a Library card.

Here are some photos taken in the library after wrapping up the morning's work...

The LIBRARIAN ( Miguelita Costes) and the JUDGE ( Fero Prokop ).

This time the LIBRARIAN poses with the Detective, Trevor . He is the main star of the teleseries.

The winsome threesome...

Miguelita is now beside Dorly, a popular fashion and commercial model here in Toronto.

The star is the gray suit is John Mcleod who plays the Assistant DA.

The policeman Myron Reider is placing Miguelita under mock arrest.."Cut" said the Director. "You are not suppose to laugh if an Officer of the Law is arresting you.."

There is still a slight smile...hmmm

And even in this take..Oh well...Let your agent call me in my office...
