from Arsenia

Yesterday  evening while  me and Valerie was in the hospital watcing Dexter to be dialyzed, this poem (one of the entries:  written by one of the dialysis staff in the hospital and earned him an Excellent Award  Prize)  caught my attention. The poem was dated April 5, 2008. I would like to share  and dedicate this to everyone. This is a poem done by a person who has a caring heart  who works with patients in dialyzis. He takes care of my son while he is in the hospital.

Dexter is still in the hospital. He is fine, and for myself, I am enjoying the major role of my life, not a part- time anymore but a full time mother and wife until  things are better for Dexter.

God Bless!.

                                           "DREAM WITH ME"

                  I dreamed of a place
                  Where I can live free.
Away from all of life's dealings
                  That seems to incarcerate me.

                  I dreamed of a place
                  Where acceptance is not considered
                  just a figure of speech.
But a place where one can blossomed
And expressed himself openly and freely

                  I dreamed of a place
Where there is no separation of race.
                  Just loving and caring people
                  with open arms to embrace.

                  I dreamed of a place
                  Which each individual respects one's
                  unique differences
A place where we can celebrate and
Thank God for our ever so existence.

                  I dreamed of a place
                  Where diversity exceeds it's most
                  common boundaries
                  A place of no restrictions
Where everyone  lives in perfect harmony.

                  I dreamed of a place
That transcends far beyond the galaxies
A place where dreams are no longer dreams
                  But more of reality
                  Dream with me!

Nice poem, very nice...
It reminds of John Lennon's "Imagine"

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
