These days, there are very few things that remain to make us swell in pride just by being Filipinos. Pinoys all over excel individually, but as a nation we tend to be humbled by our less than impressive achievement as a country in general. But not when it comes to our musical heritage. In this area, we can hold our heads really high and once more assert our national pride. Our kundimans, our opm’s could be arrayed with the best in the world. Indeed, our musicality is one of the few things that keep us afloat, reminding the world that we still exist as a people. Thank you Mng Vic for uploading such a hearty rendition from one of Asingan’s pride. I had goose bumps all over while listening not only because of Ms. Susan’s fabulous voice but on the realization of our profound musical wealth. To say that i was touched would be an understatement. I had a most welcome swelling of the heart, making me feel proud and grateful to be a Filipino. More of this kind of features, please.
