In 2006, Miguelita won the first prize for the Best Traditional Garden here in Toronto. In 2007, we visited LA ( crashed into Archie & Benilda's pad ) and so we were not able to work on it.
This year, we joined the contest again. Just today, Monday July 21, the judges came to see her garden. They did not tell her she won, but they called her out ( which judges do not usually do ) and interviewed her on video.
But they said, we are not telling you you are a winner, ( not yet anyway )..
The winners will be announced next month.
Click the video for a 3 minute tour...Thanks!
We will keep you posted...

Absolutely amazing....wish I had such green thumb as well...
Mang. Vic, Manang Miggie's garden is just a dream!!! How in the world does she find time to tend to these gorgeous flowers? (I know, she's not in front of the computer like some of us, heheh)
I take it, most of these are perennials and do they go dormant in the winter and come back up when the snow melts? If they do, it's amazing how resilient their root systems are. Can you list what these plants are (their names), if possible? I’m specifically interested in those short pink/purple flowers lining the front edge behind some plates/circular disks (about 00:29 on the timer). Thanks.
When I grow up, I wish to be a gardener!!!
